LogicManager: Our Mission & CEO
Why Does What We Do Matter?
At LogicManager, we believe we’re living in an age of transparency we call the “See-Through Economy.” Social platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Yelp have empowered the public to monumentally impact a company’s reputation. Corporate missteps of all magnitudes are now instantaneously shared, magnified, and multiplied. The only way for companies to succeed in this See-Through Economy is prevention.
We believe performance is a result of effective risk management. Our enterprise risk management (ERM) software empowers organizations to anticipate what’s ahead, uphold their reputation, and improve business performance through strong governance. LogicManager is committed to helping businesses of all sizes across all industries manage their risks proactively, and meet the expectations of their customers, employees, shareholders, and communities at large.
Our Story
In 2005, LogicManager CEO Steven Minsky founded LogicManager, Inc. on the belief that organizations needed a more effective way to manage their risk. Building on years of experience in risk and business process management, he saw that operating within silos hinders a company’s ability to make risk-aware strategic decisions. He realized an integrated, risk-based platform is needed to achieve strategic goals.
Mr. Minsky built the LogicManager platform on a taxonomy technology designed to revolutionize how organizations approach traditional governance, risk management, and compliance concerns. LogicManager’s solutions empower companies to communicate and align their values across their organization, from the front lines to the executive level.
LogicManager is also dedicated to educating the public on risk management best practices. From the beginning, LogicManager has worked with the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) to advance the discipline of enterprise risk management. Steven donated his intellectual property and expertise to author the Risk Maturity Model (RMM). The RMM’s proven ERM framework and free online assessment tool has helped thousands of risk professionals across the world benchmark and expand their enterprise risk management programs.
LogicManager has developed an innovative business model that prioritizes customer success above all else. Today, this innovative business model in sales, marketing, advisory support, and early adoption of SaaS technology has enabled LogicManager to grow organically with no outside financing or financial partners. We have been cash flow positive, profitable, and have annual recurring revenue growing over 50% annually for the past 3 years.
But what we’re most proud of is our customer satisfaction. Our customers get more than enterprise risk management software. They get a partner.
More About Our CEO
Steven Minsky, founder and CEO of LogicManager, is a recognized leader in enterprise risk management (ERM), renowned for developing evidence-based methodologies that have transformed how organizations manage risk. With a career rooted in engineering, technology, and strategic innovation, Steven has reshaped global risk management practices.
Steven’s entrepreneurial journey began during his college years, leading him through various ventures and culminating in the founding of LogicManager and the creation of the Risk Maturity Model (RMM) standard. This evolution established his expertise in process optimization, innovation, and business transformation.
Steven holds a degree in chemical engineering from Tufts University, where he cultivated a data-driven approach to problem-solving. As an undergraduate, he became the first American to study chemical engineering in Chinese at Qing Hua University (Tsinghua University), a globally top-ranked institution in fields such as artificial intelligence and chemical engineering.
Steven earned dual master’s degrees from the Wharton School and the Lauder Institute, specializing in workflow optimization and business rules. Influenced by business process reengineering pioneer Michael Hammer, he expanded his skills through collaborations with Charles Forgey on rete rules engines, co-authoring patents in business rules and process management technology.
Mentorships with Professor Clayton Christensen, focusing on disruptive innovation, and Professor Marvin Minsky, deepening his expertise in artificial intelligence, further refined Steven’s methodologies. Both professors later served as board advisors to LogicManager.
In 2006, Steven developed and published the Risk Maturity Model (RMM), which has since become a global governance standard embraced by industry regulators, rating agencies, and professional associations. His methodologies have been validated through extensive research. In 2008, partnering with LogicManager’s customers and industry leaders, Steven demonstrated a direct correlation between effective risk management and corporate credit ratings, a finding later adopted by Standard & Poor’s. In 2014, independent research conducted with Queens University, published in The Journal of Risk and Insurance, confirmed that higher RMM scores correspond to a 25% market value premium, as measured by Tobin’s Q.
Today, Steven continues to lead LogicManager as CEO, championing the introduction of next-generation risk technology. This paradigm-shifting platform empowers organizations to bridge the gap between remote, hybrid, and in-office operating controls, reducing customers’ time and resource needs by half while enhancing employee productivity and business process performance across business silos and organizational boundaries, extending to the front lines that serve their customers. With cutting-edge analytics and continuous monitoring, it provides critical evidence to fulfill the fiduciary risk management duties of managers, leadership, and boards of directors.
